Muchas gracias a todos por sus respuestas. Ahora sí entiendo y tiene sentido en mi contexto. Justamente estoy traduciendo el argumento de una película en la que dos amigos que sufren muchas penurias económicas tienen un plan descabellado para hacerse ricos, y me parecía raro que fueran un ingeniero el que estuviera metido en todo esto. Muchas gracias de nuevo!
