Pero lo he oído para referirse a "guiso" en general, no tanto al recipiente. "Cazuela" se utiliza como "pollo a la cazuela", para referirse al modo en que ha sido cocinado.
Cuando viví en UK, utilizaban "casserole" para referirse a cualquier tipo de guiso; por eso, dependiendo del contexto, te propongo este término.
Si no se refiere a una forma de cocinar sino al instrumento, entonces es "cazuela" o "cacerola"

agree  xxxfaniwin: Estoy muy de acuerdo contigo. "A casserole dish" ser refiere a una comida (quizá plato único) que se cocina en un recipiente único, todos los ingredientes a la vez. Así usan el término en EE.UU. también.
