En mi opinión, sí es necesario poner las siglas, porque se refieren a los tintes que cumplen con las normas específicas (y exigentes) de la FDA. Sin embargo, no se traducen las siglas, sino que se dejan igual, para evitar confusiones y malos entendidos.
