Explanation:
El Simon y Schuster trae "pañuelo o bufanda de muchos colores" como traducción de "bandana". A mí me parece que debe ser ese pañuelo que se usa a lo pirata, pero no se me ocurre un término preciso. Eso sí, en el diccionario Aguilar no figura bandana como término castellano, aunque en la Argentina se use.

Ese cuate (¿ o tipo?) tan feo, de la calle arriba; el que lleva un paliacate azul


Explanation:
Por lo menos en México, eso de "bandana" (como se dice en inglés), lo llaman "paliacate". Ahora, propongo "ese cuate tan feo" por que supongo que es eso nada más. El pobre está bien feo, a lo mejor no inspira ni miedo ni horror, simplemente no dan ganas de besuquearlo.
