Hi, I am in charge of translating into Spanish the terms used in an international website. Once we translators finish translating a portion of the site, we can release the translation so it is posted online. I am not quite sure what would be the best translation for this.

Creo que la mejor opción sería "publicar la traducción" si quitaras "so it is posted". Directamente pondría " podemos publicar la traducción en línea/ en Internet". Si no lo quitas, presentar es otra opción. "podemos presentar la traducción para que se publique en línea".

No son sinónimos ni lo pretenden.
Son distintos abordajes de traducción.
Hay que ver técnicamente si lo que hacen es un "upload", en cuyo caso sería mejor usar "cargar", o un "input", en cuyo caso sería mejor "ingresar", o si lo envían a diversas páginas o servers (distribuir).
