A lo que vale actualmente tu casa en el mercado quítale la cifra que te falta por pagar para liquidar la hipoteca con que la compraste. El resultado de esta operación es el Equity.
El valor líquido o Equity es una de las razones fundamentales por las cuales ser dueño de hogar es mejor que rentar.

O sea, también le podrías llamar "Valor líquido neto", pero creo que la primera opción queda mejor.
