No creo que sea correcto que lo traduzcas así, pues los "terceros" no necesariamente son proveedores. Además, "terceros" se usa mucho. Mi sugerencia es que lo traduzcas cual debe ser.

Explanation:
En este contexto una tercera parte puede ser otra empresa de software que tenga un plug in/ extra dentro del programa principal. Por ejemplo yo compro el After Effects de Adobe que además de venirme con el programa me viene con una serie de extras de otras compañías para añadirle, por ejemplo, otros efectos especiales.

Ahora que lo pienso mejor se podría quitar additional (que he traducido por 'otras'). Si se trata de software de terceras partes ya es extra, es un añadido.
Se podría poner así:
de terceras partes (sin el otras)
De esa manera haces el texto español más fluido
