English term or phrase: Release
"Final settlement agreement and release." I know that there are many entries in the glossaries for "release," yet I am unsure which is correct for this type of settlement. There is no money involved per se--only educational services for learning-disabled children. After an appeals process with the school district, the parents are asked to sign the settlement and release document. This "ends the case" regarding the disputed educational services.

En España, en los medios profesionales utilizamos ciertos términos en su idioma original. Por ejemplo "leasing", "renting", "release". La palabra release es habitual en el sector turístico y hotelero pero menos en el jurídico. Por este motivo aquí sería más conveniente "renuncia a futuras reclamaciones" dado que se ha llegado a un acuerdo y se quiere garantizar el compromiso de nada más pedir ni reclamar.
