Esta no es mi especialidad, pero por lo que veo el "caput", que en los sitios en castellano y en inglés aparece como "caput", con o sin comillas, es el texto introductorio de una artículo, que precede a los incisos, párrafos, etc. en los que después se subdivide. Los ejemplos más claros que encontré están en las referencias cruzadas de esta página: http://www.unisantos.com.br/~metropms/metroes/e7.htm (especialmente en el artículo 17: http://www.unisantos.com.br/~metropms/metroes/e7.htm#Artícul... 17 – en las regiones) Se me ocurre que, para no dejar "caput", se podría hablar de texto o párrafo introductorio, o quizá de texto principal. complementary information to Andrea’s answer Explanation: Hi. Just a piece of information that I think may contribute to complement Andrea’s an-swer: According to the WEUDEL: “caput, pl.: capita; (anat) any head or headlike structure, as on a bone. (Latin: head)”. And some of the translations of “head” applicable to your context are “título, encabezamiento” (Harper Collins Spanish Unabridged Dictionary).
