English to Spanish translations [PRO] Law/Patents
English term or phrase:Disclaimer
A term which appears continuously in several documents (usre's guides, manual, etc.). I appreciate any help on finding a correct translation for Spanish.
Explanation: Estoy de acuerdo con esta propuesta anterior. Al menos en España se usa mucho y suele ser una cláusula que especifica que el prestador de servicios no aceptará responsabilidad por los daños y perjuicios que puedan causar sus errores o negligencias.
Cláusula de renuncia de una responsabilidad. Repudio de un derecho. .
Explanation: A disclaimer is a statement in wich someone says that they did not know about something or that they are not responsible for something. Ex: "the company asserts in a disclaimer that it won't be held responsible for the accuracy of information". In this sense, what you find in users' guides or manuals is: "cláusula exonerativa de responsabilidad" or better: "cláusula de renuncia de responsabilidad".
Legal Dictionary - Cabanellas de las Cuevas - Collins Cobuild Dictionary
Explanation: I agree with GabyT if you apply this term in Mexico it would be most appropriate to use "Limitación de Responsabilidades" you have to regionilize the language even though everyone speaks the same language, people use different words to refer to the same thing.
