Hello, can someone help me with this legal sentence:

Matrimonial cause proceeding in the Principal Registry treated by virtue of Section 42 of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984 as pending in a divorce county court.

Thanks for your help and time in advance.

Explanation:
Hi Centos!

Sorry but I don´t agree with George. This is NOT a "typo".

The Cabanellas/Hoague Law Dictionary gives the following:
"cause" = "causa judicial o juicio"
"proceeding" = "proceso"
"pending" = "en curso" o "pendiente"
"divorce court" = "tribunal" o "juzgado" de divorcio".

To put it all together, well I'll leave that up to you. However, to speed you on your way, I might suggest something like the following:

Hope this is of some help to you:-)

agree  Patricia Lutteral: Bien, Terry!

1 day 4 hrs
"matrimonial cause"?

Explanation:
Yes, "causa" in Spanish and "cause" in English are both used within a legal context. However, in this specific CASE,
"matrimonial cause" just did not sound good to me. But as I said, I was not 100% sure it is wrong. Matrimonial case just sounds better to me, that's all.
