Este termino se ha utilizado muchisimo ultimamente en la prensa española debido a la afluencia de noticias sobre las "opciones sobre acciones" de que disponian algunos directivos de Telefonica. En muchos casos se las ha llamado sencillamente en ingles, pero los mas puristas al traducirlas han utilizado esta terminologia que le envio. Se trata de opciones de compra-venta de acciones, pero sencillamente se las denomina "opciones sobre acciones."
