Explanation:

...para saber si se trata de la firma, de la confección misma del documento, o de lo que realmente se entiende por "ejecutar" (que significa hacer cumplir o cumplir lo estipulado, realizar...).

Lo que si creo desde ya es que no se trata sólo de firmarlo.

Necesitaríamos saber si se trata del procedimeinto administrativo, o del cumplimiento de lo que establece, y para eso hace falta el contexto.

Como no contamos con él, creo que pondría la sugerencia de María (se ejecutó).
