I am translating an insurance policy for liverstock, especially horses, and I can not fing the right translation for "claiming race".
Your help will be much appreciated

I only just noticed your question this minute. I would very seldom disagree with OSO but in this case, I have to.

It would have helped had you given the full sentence but because of your context of insurance of livestock (and I've seen it with show dogs), I believe they're talking about "claiming the race or breed of the animal"...as in claiming pedigree, etc., for insurance purposes.

Again, without more context, it's hard to really tell but I honestly believe that IS what they're referring to.

I've just now discovered something interesting that may help you with your translation.

If you click on "glossaries" (left side of page). When it opens, enter the term "claiming race"...the languages "English>Spanish" and then click on "search term".

You should find 2 entries. One is yours and the OTHER may give you all the info you need.
