( un joyero no hiciera arreglos para entregar una prenda por medio de un camion) I feel that the word "item(s) was left out of the question posed above. Visually it will be noticed that stores that sell large appliances, furniture, etc. which are more expensive than other items, place LARGE price tickets on each item that can catch the attention of the clients & be seen from some distance away in each department. Thus the saying "big ticket". Also, sometimes big ticket items require financing and this info is also placed on the "big ticket" to entice buyers to make the purchase. Hope this helps.
