Madres que trabajan Explanation: This term was coined not only for Marketing, it has also been identified as a niche in term of politics. They can be single, divorced or married mothers but they are wage earners. They are the breadwinners in their households or they have at least, equal share. They are not stay-at-home mothers. The term 'soccer' seems to stem from their attendance to their children's soccer games at schools or neighborhoods. As a political class they are likely to be swinging voters. Therefore, they are heavily pursued by politicians from both parties in the U.S. |

"madres futboleras" or "madres que acompañan y apoyan a sus hijos e hijas futbolistas" Explanation: The first answer was correct except it had one "r" too many. My second proposal refers to a current typical American phenomenon, which is well described in the second answer. The "soccer mom" is the female equivalent of the father who takes his son to the Junior league (baseball). And girls seem to love soccer, specially since the US female team won the world title! |
