Abierto: Es lo contrario a "estudio doble ciego" (double-blind). Abierto (o "con fármacos rotulados/ etiquetados") significa que tanto el paciente como el médico/enfermera saben qué medicamento le fue asignado al paciente en el estudio.

Doble tratamiento: significa que los pacientes recibirán no un medicamento activo y un placebo, sino 2 medicamentos activos (reales, bah).

Doble-cruzado: significa que los ptes. asignados primero a un medicamento serán "cruzados" durante el estudio, en un momento pre-establecido, para empezar a recibir el 2do. medicamento en estudio.

En español cada vez se ve más también la expresión 'crossover', sin traducir.

2 treatments is not double treatment, instead, patients are started on one treatment (Tx1), then after a period of wash out they are moved to the second treatment (Tx2). The second group (or arm) starts with Tx2 and after the wash out period they are moved to Tx1.
Open labelled means that the treatments were not masked.
