hood depth Profundidad de Cubierta or Capuchón Explanation: Knee and other implant inserts provide wear hoods. Most common inserts are manufactured from polyethylene (Surgical Grade), which provides ease of Natural movements and lubrication. Protective hoods are embedded into the surgical inserts to provide a longer life. Over time this inserts suffer "wear and tear". Depth may be a critical dimension for the proper function of the implants / inserts. By measuring or gauging this dimension a decision may be made on selection and/or replacement of the implants / insert. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 days (2008-11-14 18:07:36 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I would use "CUBIERTA". Capuchon is commonly used for Mechanics and in my opinion should not be uses for Biomedical / Biomechanical prostethics. |
