Podría haber muchas traducciones (y de hecho nuestros colegas plantearán muchas y buenas), pero considero que pueden funcionar tanto "exploración mediante imagen" como "gestión de imágenes" (si las imágenes ya se han obtenido).

Se trata de la obtención de imágenes médicas (rayos X, tomografías, etc.) para el estudio clínico de un paciente.

  -> Gracias Juan Pablo. Imagino que en este caso conviene decir "mediante imagen" si sólo se usa el acrónimo MRI, para aclarar la cuestión. Pero sí, quizá tengas razón.
