We report a case of a large perforated adenocarcinoma of the rectum manifesting as an ischiorectal abscess progressing to Fournier`s gangrene in an insulin-dependent diabetic man.

Cualquier proceso que comprometa la inmunidad ayuda al desarrollo y progreso de las graves infecciones bacterianas como ser alcoholismo, diabetes, edad avanzada, observándose con mayor frecuencia el desarrollo de esta patología en pacientes con antecedente de radioterapia pelviana.
