Explanation:
Es una proteína no colágena que se encuentra sólo en el hueso y la dentina.
Tras la acción de los osteoblastos la osteocalcina entra en la circulación general, pudiéndose analizar mediante inmunoensayo o R.I.A. Es un marcador de la actividad osteoblástica que refleja tanto la relacionada con la edad como con el intercambio acelerado relacionado con la menopausia.
