NSAID


Explanation:
As you may already know, NSAID stands for “nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.” It is used as is in Spanish (and many other languages), as in the following example:

“Acetaminofeno y NSAID:

Los NSAID son efectivos para el alivio del dolor leve y tienen el efecto de hacer mas moderada la dosis de opiaceos lo cual ayuda a reducir los efectos secundarios cuando se administran con opiaceos para dolor moderado a severo. El acetaminofeno esta incluido con la aspirina y otros NSAID porque tiene una potencia analgesica similar aunque le falta la actividad antiinflamatoria periferica. Los efectos secundarios pueden ocurrir a cualquier momento, y los pacientes que toman acetaminofeno o NSAID -- especialmente pacientes de edad avanzada -- deberan ser observados cuidadosamente.”

1. No es necesario anteponer la palabra "fármacos"
2. Esteroideo no lleva acento sobre la letra o.
3. En español es más correcto decir "fármaco" que "droga". Conviene utilizar "droga" sólo con las sustancias que crean adicción.
