el extremo del catéter (o de la lead) donde está el electrodo
Explanation:
Hi Daniel

In Medicine the words "electrode" and "lead" apply to two major areas: Cardiology and Neurology.

Depending exactly on the device to which the electrode and lead are attached, the wording may change.

"Electrode" is generally "electrode".
"Lead" may remain as "lead" (Cardiology) "derivación" (Cardiology, when referring to the ECG leads), or "catéter" (Neurology and neurla stimulation).

Even within each medical context, however, certain variations of usage between "electrodo" and "lead" do exist depending on the Sp. speaking country.

Thank you for the detailed explanation for "lead" as used in medical terminology. Our device is used for neural stimulation and our translator used "catéter electrodo" for lead. Our reviewer in Europe told us to eliminate "catéter" from that phrase, but it seems from your explanation that our translator had it right!

el electrodo en la punta del conductor

Explanation:
This seems to refer to a flexible conductor connected to or leading out from an electrical device (MWU). In this case, the instruction states to insert or plug the end of that lead, which consists of an electrode, into a receptacle.
