caminadora Explanation: For what it's worth, caminadora is the term used in Mexico for treadmill. The other colleague that suggested corredor de banda is using the wrong reference. He is refering to a pair of statuettes by Felguérez, which the artist named Corredor de banda (for the boy)and corredora de banda (for the girl. That is how the artist whimsically named the figurines!!!! Thta is not the definition for treadmill!!! |

see below Explanation: IT is indeed corredor de banda. The artist got the idea of corredor de banda because he saw them in a gym. If you open that site fully you will see all the figurines related to gym and health exercises. |

Question? Explanation: Somebody must be kidding! I am not disputing the fact that Felguérez got the idea in a gym. Why would he use the individual gender to name the statuettes?(i.e corredor and then corredora) I am not getting into a discussion on something that is absolutely clear to me, anyway! I still say that the term used in Mexico is caminadora! |

Para tratar de resolver esto Explanation: hice una búsqueda general y me encontré con los siguientes términos: molino de rueda de andar plataforma rodante faja ergonométrica estacionaria (Wow!!) treadmill caminadora/treadmill tapiz rodante (Wow!!) cintas de correr trotadores El término más común en textos médicos fue "treadmill", así, entre comillas. Consulté con varios colegas latinoamericanos y coincidieron con caminadora". No expreso ninguna opinión, pero espero que el traductor elija, ya que es del traductor la responsabilidad final. Todos hemos ayudado y se demuestra nuevamente que como dijera Harry Truman, "the buck stops con el traductor". |
