el sobrenadante transparente

Explanation:
Since centrifugation samples always have a liquid fraction, the supernatant that ends up on top because of its density is always liquid. To say the "liquid supernatant" is a little bit of a redundancy. In laboratory practice every body uses "sobrenadante" as a noun, not as an adjective.
