I use "aborto" for both words, but they have different meanings. Is there a way to distinguish these 2 words in Spanish?

aborto espontáneo vs. aborto inducido

Como ya lo explicaron las colegas el aborto espontáneo, como su nombre lo indica, no es deseado, sucede por un sinnumero de motivos. Por el contrario el aborto inducido es un procedimiento provocado. En México usaban bastante la palabra legrado para referirse al aborto inducido, a pesar de que legrado en realidad es sólo una palabra para describir la técnica del raspado uterino, esta era una manera fácil de distinguirlos a los dos.
En base a esto, en México, miscarriage sería aborto espontáneo y abortion sería legrado.

Así es como yo diferenciaría estos dos muy diferentes tipos de aborto.
Miscarriage, como el aborto espontáneo en que por una u otra razón el feto es expulsado del vientre materno, y abortion, en que se provoca intencionalmente.
