Tambien es probable que el que escribió el texto no quisiera terner muchas repeticiones porque si es lo mismo, aunque el uso, por lo menos en USA es diferente, Sole esta más extendido para hablar de plantillas.

Explanation:
Unless we are going to be very picky indeed, I think "bottoms of the feet" and "soles of the feet" are one and the same thing.

Of course, looking at your own context, only you will know what they are referring to. If the text just concerns feet, then "bottoms" and "soles" are interchangeable.
