The patient suffers from ligament failure Explanation: In a medical context, "insuficiencia" means "failure" in English when the text is referring to a body part or organ - for example, insuficiencia cardiaca, renal, respiratoria. Also, I did an English internet search for "ligament failure" and came up with a number of hits - see below for some examples of links. I think that "ligament failure" is the most widely accepted translation. Good luck!
