Hola. Estoy traduciendo un texto médico sobre un parto en el cual el bebé nace con anomalías congénitas incompatibles con la vida. Mientras se describe, aparece la siguiente frase: "The mother was still crying when I settled the baby in the crook of her elbow. His tiny hands windmilled".

Sé que es una característica típica de las personas con parálisis cerebral, pero no estoy segura de que en español haya un término equivalente. ¿Podría ser manos espásticas?

Lo dejaría simplemente como temblaban. La expresión original alude al temblor espástico en el que las muñecas se mueven como un tamboril giratorio. Temblaban espásticamente probablemente traduce mejor la sensación de gravedad pero añade un término técnico que creo innecesario aquí.
