Salad bar smarts. Limit the amount of ready made salads such as: potato, pasta, cheese and nut salads; they are loaded with mayonnaise and other high fat dressings.
Use low calorie dressings or put dressings in a separate container and teach your child to dip his fork into the bowl (this is fun for the toddler and a healthy habit).

No creo que sea el caso de "decisiones inteligentes". Creo que es una expresión completa que da esa idea.

agree  Tomás Cano Binder, BA, CT: Hm... Comprendo lo que quieres decir. Pero si lo piensas, no es sobre cómo preparar tú tu propio bufé en casa, sino cómo elegir cosas del bufé de ensaladas para llevarlas a tu mesa para tus chicos. Pero un agree porque es "bufé".

Perdón, veo en la RAE que "bufet" se escribe con una efe. "Bufé" también se acepta, en Argentina por lo visto se usa más así. Escribí buffet con dos efes porque en Mallorca (isla turística en la que vivo) se escribe siempre así en los carteles de tanto restaurantes como hoteles (los carteles en castellano, digo).
