"rambling" en computación, significa escribir cuando quieras, lo que se te pase por la cabeza, sin ningún propósito en especial. Si fuera en ese contexto, yo dejaría "rambling", porque así se lo conoce. En conversaciones, sería lo mismo, hablar rápidamente de un tema o de otro.

Son las posibilidades que se me ocurren. "Divagar" es otra traducción de "to ramble", pero no es fácil adaptarla a la frase como adjetivo y "divagaciones" no da la idea de conversación.
