Esta respuesta está basada en la primera respuesta pero teniendo en cuenta el comentario que ha hecho mtpringle de que 'opciones' puede dar la impresión de que éstas existen ahora mientras que el original incluye posibilidades de ahora y del futuro.

´Desestimar´ me ha parecido un poco formal, algo que no diría la gente de la calle.

Se podría incluir ´por ahora´ al final, para clarificar una posible implicación de que el consejo fuera no descartar nada NUNCA. Sin embargo, creo que no es necesario.
