Explanation:
Para mí el término 'range' conlleva la idea de 'serie' o 'sucesión' en ese contexto. Otra cosa sería decir que las fechas 'range from ... to ..." en cuyo caso sí usaría "abarcan el periodo de ..." por ejemplo.
