Explanation:
No sé si hay una palabra en español.
Se usan acá en Estados Unidos con mucha frecuencia y se venden en bolsitas en los supermercados. Son dulces, chiquitos, parecen pedacitos de algodón duritos y se utilizan en un sinfín de recetas. Se les usa, por ejemplo, para agregarlos a la hawaiian salad.

El Diccionario General Larousse In-Es dice: dulce blando de consistencia esponjosa./malvavisco. En Euridicautom lo traducen como malvavisco. En televisión también. En Colombia se le dice masmelo.

agree  Yolanda Ruiz Luque: Si,eso deciamos de pequeños. En mexico le llaman "bombon".Creo que en el norte le llaman de otra manera. La palabra en español depende del pais y zona del pais.
