(Arch.) nicho; (fig.) hueco

Explanation:
You can always use "nicho", but its more common to say "hueco" to mean, for instance, "I've found my place".

Explanation:
It depends on the context. This is what the Routledge dictionary tells about it:

"niche": buena posición, colocación conveniente, nicho; "niche bank": banco de posición conveniente; "niche market": mercado altamente especializado; "niche trading" mercado cautivo.

I would choose one depending of your context and the complete sentence.

Un saludo.

nicho, hornacina, "huequito", nicho, nicho, niche

Explanation:
Since I have no idea what your context is, here is a compendium for you to select from:

niche / nItS, ni:S / n a (Archit) nicho m, hornacina f b (suitable place): she’s found a little niche for herself in the business se ha hecho su huequito en la empresa (fam) c (Busn, Marketing) nicho m d (Ecol) nicho m

Note: in the case of archeology, not covered by the Superlex entries, above, it would be *niche/niches* (fem)--as in, *la pirámide de las niches*, the centerpiece of the Tajín site in Eastern Mexico.

nicho, hornacina

Explanation:
Not to end with a sad note: la palabra "nicho" tambien se utiliza en el caso de "un nicho en la pared" para preservar o enterrar los restos de los muertos.

Los restos de mi madre fueron transferidos de una tumba a un nicho en la pared despues de diez años.

Happy translating! ;o)

depends- see possibilities

Explanation:
I really puzzled a woman in a curtain shop once, looking for a curtain for a 'nicho', thinking it meant niche when it meant a place to bury people! That's the first accepted meaning of 'nicho'.

So, depends on what your context is:

1. Niche (deliberately built so)in the wall for a statue,or similar; 2. niche meaning nook/cranny; 3. niche in the market; 4. a niche in life, etc

1, hornacina (vaulted) 2, rincón, escondrijo 3, difficult to translate (I often hear people in the know use the English word, or 'nicho' although this is definitely a relatively new meaning), possibly 'tener un pie en el mercado/una buena posición en el mercado/dominar un segmento del mercado 4,tener un papel concreto en la vida/etc
