It is just a suggestion. I found "soda bread" and it is "pan hecho con levadura quimica o polvo de hornear", so I take it that "bakery soda" is "polvo de hornear" or "levadura quimica".

Or you can use just "Bicarbonato" and it is implied that is Sodium Bicarbonate, since it is the most common and the only one used for household purposes. By the way , the common English way of using it is not Bakery Soda but Baking Soda.
