agree  Consuelo Fabian: El uso del infinitivo no sería correcto, la frase traducida debiera usar el relativo: Le puedo pedir a mi jefe que registre mis llamadas en el trabajo

filtrar

Explanation:
filtrar las llamadas (not pass all calls on to the other person).
To screen has many different meanings, depending on the context.
It means pantalla when referring to a movi screen.
It also means pantalla when referring to electric protection
It means zaranda or tamiz when referring to sieving.
But in this case it means filtrar.

...but I would rather believe that the Secretary screens the calls for her boss.

Sorry, MOVIE with an e. All the cases I mentioned are nouns, except filtrar, which is a verb.

-> Maybe you don't use it in Mexico, but it is widely used in Argentina. Thank you.

CONTROLAR

Explanation:
Hola "screen a call" es lo que se hace hoy en día para analizar el nivel de atención al cliente en el caso de las ventas telefónicas, por ejemplo.
Es muy común que se use en inglés lo que personalmente NO ACEPTO (!!!!) ya que mi idioma ofrece muchas alternativas.

Seguimiento

Explanation:
para sustituir el anglisismo "monitoreo" que hubiera sido mi segunda opción, que en México es de uso muy común, aunque sea un anglisismo.

Así es la vida!

Saludos

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
neutral  Robert INGLEDEW: Aunque sigo insistiendo con mi opción (filtrar), una alternativa a seguimiento podría ser verificación. Pero te recuerdo que el "filtrado" de llamadas no significa simplemente seguimiento o control, sino a veces NO PASAR llamadas al jefe.
