Dale a tu cerebro un descanso en la carretera. Arráncate y deja atrás el estrés.

(O sea, raya con las llantas)

Es puro modismo esta frase pero la entiendo bien, ¡pues hago lo mismo de vez en cuando!

(Salir en auto en un viaje por carretera a veces ayuda a aliviar el estrés, siempre y cuando viaje uno por carreteras despejadas y con bonito paisaje.)

You should use the expression most common to the country in which the action takes place. In Cuba ( or Miami ) it would be "echar un patin".
