swab > hisopo (MX)

Explanation:
Hi, Tom. I clearly remember the Q-Tips boxes in Mexico being labeled 'hisopos de algodón', though none of my reference books confirm it -- but you can't go by a dictionary, you know that. Anyway, the closest any get is the Prentice Hall Appleton's, which lists:
hisopillo, small aspergill, mouth swab.

Suggestion: Do you have a spare laser cartridge? They provide swabs for cleaning the laser printer and contain multilingual instructions. I don't have any available, but you might want to check that out.

HTH.

bastoncillo

Explanation:
Tom, the above is probably the most tecnichally appropiate term, but it might not be familiar to the reader. Thus, I would probably use a description such as: Bastoncillo de algodón para limpieza or hisopo de algodón para limpieza

Hisopo Limpiador

Explanation:
I agree with the previous answer about 'cotonetes' but f you use that term, it will be associated by your readers to the actual Q-tip, which won't be helpful at all. These products are relatively new in Latin American markets. They've started to change the labels recently. If you choose the word 'bastoncillo' or any other, make sure, to include the word 'limpiador'.
