Se habla español.

Explanation:
I am curious why you would want to know how to translate this claim--that you (plural) speak Spanish, when you (Dena) don't know how to say it... When you come back to select the best answer, could you also please address my question--I'd really like to know!!

se habla español

Explanation:
Literally, "Spanish is spoken (here)".
This is for example what would appear on a board at a shop in a non Spanish-speaking country, for letting Spanish tourists know that Spanish is spoken there.

This would be the formal approach. "Hablamos español" is another possibility, but a little bit more informal (literally, "we speak Spanish").

Regards.

that se habla espanol thing has always bugged me

Explanation:
Hablamos espanol is SO much more correct and user friendly. Someone came up with the se habla espanol thing a ways back and you see it everywhere and I always think.....if you really did you wouldn't EVEN say that. Anyway, good luck to you!
