English term or phrase: System Flag and/or System Flagging

Hola desde muy lejos,

Como dirian en castellano "system flag" (que se conoce tambien como "switches" en ingles) como, por ejemplo, cuando en un manual para el usuario se describe que el sistema presentará en pantalla "flags" que indican que hay ciertos campos que completar, información a entregar, etc. que se establecen una sola vez y luego no se las vuelve a tocar. Otro ejemplo sería: todas las órdenes de venta tienen un formato específico.

Yo lo había visto como "marcación" o "marcaciones", utilizan ustedes alguna otra palabra o expresión específica?
