Area may be refering to interior area, that occurs a few times too, and it's a phrase widely used in the house fittings field. alfombrilla Explanation: Forgot to say that rug is actually alfombrilla, which is a smaller alfombra. When something is called alfombra o alfombrilla, that varies a lot. The alfombra has got to be quite small to be called alfombrilla. Alfombrilla could also be mistaken for "mouse pads". I'd go for "alfombras (y alfombrillas)" just in case, alfombrillas optional. salud :) |

I would translate it simply as "alfombras", though possibly you already use this word in other contexts and the text may end up being too repetitive.
