English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase:Urgent! Pile 100% Polyester
Can you think of anything for 'pile'? as in 'pile 100% polyester'? The pile is the top soft part of the fabric e.g. if you look at a carpet, there is a backing part and a soft top part. In this case, the backing part may not be polyester.
My English dictionary says for pile: 'the soft projecting surface on velvet, carpet etc'
Any ideas for a translation to Spanish of 'Pile 100% Polyester'?
Explanation: According to dicc., felpa is "tejido que tiene pelo por la haz...", which, strictly speaking, would be applicable to the whole carpet. However, I think it could be used if you do not find anything better.
You could also go around the problem by saying "superficie (cara) afelpada", etc.
