English term or phrase: ported
Talking about excess pollution "near bases (military and such) with ported nuclear vessels."

Ported (porthole) is "portilla" - buques con portilla?? If this is correct, how does having a porthole increase pollution (it doesn't make sense to me).
OR, do you think "ported" refers to the vessle being on a port (puerto)??? I can't find the word "ported" with this meaning. Perhaps you know if this is just common usage.
Any comments or help welcomed.
Thank you!

Spanish translation:En el puerto
Explanation:
I believe ported means at the port for repairs, etc. which would mean to stay at port for a considerable time. It might just mean that: En el puerto para reparación, BUT I am not sure. I hope it helps.

Explanation:
In nautical terms "ported" means a ship steered to left. Un buque virado hacia babor.

I hope it makes more sense in your context.
