English to Spanish translations [PRO]
English term or phrase: feature article
The Style section of the newspaper carries many feature articles, as distinguished from hard news articles
Terri Shaw, translator
Spanish translation:Artículo de fondo
Explanation:
Tracked this term down through Termium (and thedicc. Larousse español/francés.). My husband, who has taught "newsparerese" and newspaper writing in Spanish, confirms that this is the right term for those "human interest" articles that newspapers run on (as opposed to in depth, special articles on hard news, which would be something like "crónica especial" or "artículo especial")

Artículos especiales

Explanation:
En este caso se refiere a que el periódico en su Sección de Estilos trae siempre articulos especiales sobre la materia (estilos).

reportaje

Explanation:
A "reportaje" is an article usually with a lot of photographs and fluff. This word is commonly used on both sides of the pond. On the other hand, "Artículo especial" doesn't really say anything to the Spanish reader.

artículo de fondo

Explanation:
Coincido con esta traducción. El término "reportaje" se utiliza para entrevistas, que no parece ser el caso en la sección Estilos.

reportaje

Explanation:
Definitivamente no es solamente sobre un artículo escrito que se base en la opinión del redactor sino más bien un artículo imparcial que incluye citas y al que lo respalda una investigación a fondo.
