Explanation:
La oración no está bien en inglés...
Debería decir:
"A drummer uses TWO DRUMSTICKS to play the drums"
-batería= conjunto de tambores y platillos de una orquesta; tanto los tambores como los platillos se tocan con DOS palillos o baquetas.
Como muy bien dice Susana,son un par de palillos. Ningún batería toca con un solo palillo...
"drum" es tambor, pero usado en plural, DRUMS, y tocado por una sola persona, es BATERÍA.
En español se dice igual la profesión y el instrumento =el batería/ la batería.

Incluso si se refiriese \"drummer\" a un tamborilero, éste también utiliza dos palillos para tocar el tambor.
Quien ha escrito el original, una de dos: o no entiende de instrumentos musicales, o se ha equivocado al escribir la oración.
Existe un instrumento llamado \"tamboril\", que es una especie de tambor más largo y estrecho que los ordinarios, y que se suele tocar con un solo palillo.
tamboril = small drum, tabor.

- El error de la oración puede que esté en la última palabra,
\"drums\", que en vez de ir en plural, fuera en singular, \"drum\", refiriéndose a un tamboril (small drum) ???
En ese caso, la traducción sería:
\"El tamborilero utiliza un palillo/ una baqueta para tocar el tamboril\"
