English term or phrase: saddle pad
this small pad/blanket goes UNDER the saddle, to absorb sweat and prevent saddle rubbing on horse
CAC
Spanish translation:sudadera
Explanation:
Parece difícil diferenciar entre saddle cloth y saddle pad; el Diccionario Webster's da "saddle blanket" (a saddle- shaped pad, as of felt, sheepskin, etc., placed beneath the saddle to prevent it from irritating the horses´s skin)como segunda acepción de "saddle cloth".

sudadero

Explanation:
I believe there is a typo in JASO's reply. It can also be feminine in some places (sudadera).

sillín

Explanation:
Diccionario Visual Grijalbo (English-Spanish)/ The Oxford-Duden Spanish and English Dictionary.

According to Grijalbo Dictioanry, the saddle pad is placed between the saddlecloth and the saddle. I think "sudadera" refers to "saddlecloth" and not to "saddle padle".

Sudaderas

Explanation:
You may be interested in this (Sorry, no diacritics):
