English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase:E.E.U.U.
I know that EEUU refers to los estados unidos the United States of America but I wondered what each letter stands for. Why are the letters doubled?
Explanation: That's the way you write it. Not E.E.U.U. It's a usual way to abbreviate words that are in plural, like Ministerio de OO.PP. (Obras Públicas), DD.HH. (Derechos Humanos). In this case, the letters stand for Estados Unidos.
