\"Item\" se emplea en las enumeraciones, de modo que creo que se podría suprimir...

Otra posibilidad sería que las funciones \"1, 2 y 3\" fueran asignadas a algún tipo de tecla, artículo (item) o lo que fuera y que por eso lo incluyan. Mira el contexto.
