depends if the speaker is a woman or a men

Explanation:
If it´s a woman must be transalted as SALON DE BELLEZA.-
Then if it´s a man must be translated as PELUQUERÍA.-
Take care with this difference!!!!!!
A man doesn´t go to a beauty parlour (salón de belleza)
good luck!

fui a la peluquería

Explanation:
hair salon: peluquería (you have your hair done)
salón de belleza is a beauty parlor, where you can have your hair done, but also have a facial treatment, waxing, etc. Not all hair salons have these services.
By the way, now guys also have their own beauty parlors!!

Best regards,

Patricia
